GROW – an original Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration
Imagine an itinerary in which the young members of the family discover their past with an eye to the future, connect with nature and their legacy on an adventure trip accumulating
experiences and memories for a lifetime.
We invite the whole family to join this exclusive youth itinerary, a preparation for adult life. During the ride we will climb mountains, we will discover rivers and deserts alternating Rappel, omegas, rowing, jeeps, sand surfing, diving and horse riding.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah itineraries are an integral part of the Israel family outing.
The idea
Across cultures and civilizations, throughout history, various rituals have been performed to commemorate the transition from childhood to maturity: “second birth” ceremonies in India, tests of courage in Kenya, daring leaps on the Vanuatu islands, tattoos and body markings, "bull jumping" in Ethiopia, journeys of self-discovery among Native Americans and, of course, our traditional Bar Mitzvah (also extended to girls, with the Bat Mitzvah). For the first time in their lives, girls and boys around the world must face a text in a language that is generally unknown, and show their skills in front of their community and "teach" to the audience a biblical passage and the haftarah.
We offer you a new way to celebrate this confirmation, this ritual so significant for the Jewish people; The adolescent's direct contact with the Earth of their ancestors is the best way to reaffirm their belonging, to learn to respect their heritage and their cultural legacy and, above all, to contribute to the construction of the adult person they are becoming facing the challenges of the 21st century.
